Mark Solomon, CPD, a USCA Board member, is also President of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association (WSCPA). One of the core trainings the WSCPA offers is CPTED, educating professionals in fields of Law Enforcement, School Campus and Health Care Security, School Districts, Code Compliance and community organizations on applying CPTED principles to impact quality of life and enhancing safety and security.
Mark is also a Crime Prevention Coordinator with the Seattle Police Department, where he has served for 36 years, working with community groups, individuals and businesses on public safety issues, and quality of life issues that impact public safety.
Mark is a retired United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, where he served as an intelligence Analyst and Senior Intelligence Officer. He was also the founder of Obsidian Security Group, a Seattle based security staffing and consulting enterprise. Mark lives in the Beacon Hill Neighborhood of Seattle with his wife, Suzanne (a high school art teacher), in the home his grandparents built.
Mark is an admitted Sci-Fi and comic book nerd.
