Effective Therapeutic Design in Homeless Shelters

Justin Reeves is a nonprofit leader and practitioner in Bellingham, WA, working at the intersection of community design and social services. His 15-years of experience currently includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer at the Lighthouse Mission where his work focuses on applying CPTED principles in a trauma-informed way to homeless services, workforce development environments, and community-centered spaces.  He recently spearhead the design, construction and implementation of a new 75,000 sq. ft. enhanced shelter with impressive results stemming from CPTED principles applied to the project.
