Call for Presentations: Submit Your Proposal for the 2026 US CPTED Conference

The 2026 US CPTED Conference is a premier national gathering of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) practitioners, experts, and advocates. Hosted by the US CPTED Association, this annual event provides a collaborative platform for sharing best practices, strategies, and case studies that shape the future of CPTED.

The theme for the 2026 conference is “Designing Safe Spaces & Strong Communities.” We invite you to submit a proposal that aligns with this vision and helps advance the field of CPTED in meaningful and actionable ways.

The conference will take place February 4–6, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

Presentation Criteria

We invite proposals that incorporate key elements of CPTED, support the 2026 theme of “Designing Safe Spaces & Strong Communities,” and reflect the latest thinking in CPTED implementation, research, or practice. Presentations should aim to educate, inspire, and be adaptable across sectors. Topics may include, but are not limited to: Public safety and law ,enforcement, Urban design and planning, School and campus safety, Healthcare, housing, and infrastructure, Environmental justice and community design, CPTED theory, research, and innovation

Presentations should avoid political or religious content and maintain an inclusive, professional tone for all attendees. Reviewers will prioritize proposals that are well-written, clearly outline learning objectives, and demonstrate relevance, creativity, and adaptability as defined in the Proposal Rubric.

Submission Guidelines

To be considered as a presenter for the 2026 US CPTED Conference, please complete the online submission form below. Proposals should include a clear session title and description, defined learning objectives, background context, and relevance to CPTED principles. Be sure to indicate your preferred presentation format (individual session or panel) and note any technical or accessibility needs that may apply.

Proposals will be evaluated based on their alignment with the conference theme, Designing Safe Spaces & Strong Communities, as well as clarity, content quality, innovation, and adaptability. Submissions should demonstrate the potential to engage and educate attendees across a range of sectors. All presenters are required to review and acknowledge the Proposal Evaluation Rubric (PDF) before submission. The deadline to submit proposals is December 1, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
