His career bridges the operational and the strategic — from field-based infrastructure and security operations to academic program development and urban design advisory. \nAs Director of Education at a Dutch institute for professional training\, Henk leads the development of advanced post-graduate programs in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) and social safety. He is a strong advocate for integrating CPTED into both policy and practice\, and has authored various publications linking design\, behavior\, and public safety. \nHolding an MSc in Security Management from the University of Leicester (UK)\, Henk consults for municipalities\, housing authorities\, and law enforcement agencies. His current focus lies in fostering transdisciplinary approaches to security — combining design philosophy\, risk governance\, and behavioral science. \nWith a unique background that merges military engineering\, academic depth\, and real-world consulting\, Henk brings a grounded yet visionary perspective to the future of safe and resilient environments. \n\n \n	\nHow do I join the US CPTED Association?\n	\n \n You can join the US CPTED Association by going here and checking out normally. \n\n \n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n	\n\n	\n \n Sign Up for Membership today!\n\n \n	\n\n	\n \n Membership Benefits\n\n \n	\n\n	\n \n \n\n\n\nProfessional Recognition\nAccess to education and training\nNetworking opportunities\nAccess to the membership directory\nImprove your professional profile\nMemberships discounts\nAccess to the US CPTED Association Library\nCertificate of membership\nOpportunities to give back to the CPTED community\nSupporting the US CPTED Association mission\n\n\n\n\n \n	\nBecome a Member!
